24 Hour 3-D Channel in 2011

12Jan10

Holy shit, Sony means business for the 3-D. The New York Times has confirmed that Discovery, Imax and Sony are partnering up together in a joint-venture to create a 24-hour 3-D television channel. The 3-D programming will be distributed by Discovery Communications starting in 2011. Expect to be able to watch entertainment and sports in 3-D.

Can this really be the future? Will 3-D television really provide a richer visual experience? Better start saving money now or you won’t be able to afford your 3-D HDTV. Don’t forget to save for additional 3-D goggles or it will be a single-person experience at your house.
