T-Mobile and AT&T Complete HSDPA 7.2 Mbps Upgrade

08Jan10

T-Mobile and AT&T both boasted earlier this week that they have completed upgrades to their HSDPA 7.2 Mbps 3G network. While both are touting the new speeds being ready, 7.2 Mbps remains theoretical according to DSL Reports. To further confusion, it appears that the upgrades are only for the software side of the network. Cell towers may not yet be ready to start beaming all that goodness to your phone just yet.

Regardless, this should be good news for the future moving forward and what we can expect.
