Nintendo DS 2 Will Have High Resolution Graphics and Motion Accelerometer

07Jan10

The Nintendo DSi XL hasn’t even launched in the U.S. and Europe yet, and already there is talk about what hardware the successor to the world’s best selling handheld video game system will have.

Straight from the man himself, President of Nintendo of Japan, Satoru Iwata stated in an interview with Asahi that the next DS system will have “high resolution graphics” and an “accelerometer.”

This adds fuel to the fire where rumors are stating that the next generation of handheld consoles will contain Tegra or Tegra 2 graphic chips, the same one that powers the Zune HD. The NDS has proved that N64-like graphics are possible, so it is only natural that we can expect graphics that are better than the PSP or close to Gamecube levels.

An accelerometer would put a DS2 on equal footing with the iPhone/iPod touch combo.

  1. Admiring the persistence you put into your

blog and in depth information you present. It’s nice to come

across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the same unwanted rehashed material.
Excellent read! I’ve bookmarked your site and I’m adding your

RSS feeds to my Google account.

  2. What a material of un-ambiguity and preserveness of
    valuable experience concerning unpredicted emotions.

  3. For the file, lots of the lower-finish calculators or advertisements you see on TELEVISION or elsewhere will sometimes display the lowest
monthly payment possible, whether or not accurate or not.
