The Ugliest DSLR Ever

Colors are nice. Red, blue, yellow. On gadgets, maybe, depends on the gadget. On a DSLR? Absolutely horrible. There’s a reason most electronics are black or silver; they just look better.

Pentax aims to change all of that, by selling the worlds ugliest DSLRs ever.

Starting with the Pentax K-x Korejanai model shown below. The Korejanai DSLR is a limited run of 100 and is sold exclusively on Pentax Japan’s online store. The good news, only 100 of these ugly cameras were made. The bad news, there are 100 of these ugly cameras roaming around.

Looking like a something Fisher Price would conjure, I can’t imagine what kind of demand these warranted. Better to just stick with your trusted Nikon or Canon.

It doesn’t stop there, Pentax Japan also offers DSLR color customizer to their online store, letting you choose virtually any color combination you want for the body of your K-x. It doesn’t look like there is an option for colorizing the lens, but at least on the Korejanai model, you can get a few rings of color.
